Hi!

This is the official blog page for harringrovemovember! This is an event co-run by @intothedysphoria and @hargrove-mayfields along with support from @jaylikesrainbowtigers. This is a harringrove event which hopes to spread awareness about men and mental health, particularly men from marginalised communities.

The event is running from the 20th to the 26th of November and accepts fic, art, edits, ect. All works will be accepted as long as they’re harringrove and stick to the theme of men and mental health

Here is the prompt list for anybody who hasn’t seen it (edit made by @hargrove-mayfields)

We’ll post more info as the date gets closer, including what works the mods are not comfortable including in the event and how you can get more involved with the event if you’re interested (e.g if anybody would be interested in an event discord).

Please keep in mind that this is an event run by autistic moderators, so tone indicators when sending asks and patience with the mods if you contact them on a low spoons day would be appreciated. Furthermore, any ableism towards this event or the moderators will be dealt with swiftly and appropriately. Also it goes without saying but there is a zero tolerance policy on misogyny, racism, any type of queerphobia, transphobia, classism, antisemitism, islamophobia, ableism, xenophobia, ect. This is an event which is made to be inclusive to everyone and any bullying or mean spirited behaviour made towards another blog participating in the event will not be tolerated.

The Disabled Billy and Steve Week Prompts are Here!

Hiya- we’ve been working on these for a few weeks but the disabled Billy and Steve prompts are now officially here! We’re not quite ready to decide on a week yet but hopefully people can get a bit more of a feel for the vibe of the event. The prompts are quite flexible so you can just work off the primary prompt and ignore the more specific prompt if they don’t really gel with what you want to do but hopefully you’ll all enjoy these! We tried to make the language as accessible and disability inclusive as we possibly could so that the prompts aren’t too confusing but if you would like some clarity, you can message @intothedysphoria or @hargrove-mayfields about any questions you have.

I think that’s it! If you didn’t get a chance to vote on the initial posts about the event and the server but want to be involved, you can absolutely take part when July comes or request a place on the server by messaging our personal tumblrs!

Harringrove for Palestine

Hello again. This is a fundraising post for our siblings in Palestine. I'm going to keep it live for as long as possible, and will update when and if others wish to join.

Quick FAQ:

General:

1. There is no time limit for this event, please contribute/donate for as long as you're able/willing.

2. The main donations that are being promoted are the vetted gofundmes from gazafunds.com but any Palestine charity will of course be thankful for your donations.

3. @mothellie has created a comprehensive list of Palestinian charities and events that should you not be able to take part here or if you want to help out more is a very valuable resource.

Contributors:

1. If you would like to join as a contributor then please DM me and let me know which medium you will be working with so that I can add you to this post.

2. If you have reached capacity/no longer have the time or energy to contribute let me know and I'll put a line through your name. Your mental health is important and I don't want anyone to put undue pressure on themselves.

Donators:

1. Please see the list below of contributors and if there is someone you would like art/fic/mood boards from then DM them to discuss

2. For fics the base donation rate will be $1 per 100 words but you can of course donate more or discuss with your artist/writer for something specific.

3. Artwork donations are up to the artist so please discuss with them what they would like in return for their art.

4. Once you have agreed then please make a donation either here (gazafunds.com) or to one of the numerous Palestine relief charities of your choice. Then send a screenshot of your donation to your artists/writer so they can start on your request.

Hey y’all! A couple updates from me 🤍

I am currently chatting with a friend to get a new pfp and header for this account so it’ll have an updated look for 2024! Super exciting, and he is so incredibly talented, I can’t wait for y’all to see it! We’re going for a sorta vintage Halloween look, it’s so cool!

As for the prompts, I’m 60% finished with the list and it includes plenty of kinks and themes and locations to choose from! You will be able to pick and choose or mix and match from these lists, and they are totally optional (you can use all three for one day or two or one), and this way we have options for both SFW and NSFW works to be included! At this time, it looks like I will be posting the prompts sometime next week, as I still need to make the list look pretty for y’all!

Also, as a bigger update, I’ve decided to do something a little different from the usual month-long kinktober event this year! Taking into consideration that people may want more time to create, or (like me) want to prevent burnout, I’ve decided to shorten the posting timeline and we will do 13 Days of Harringrove Kinktober this year! So, instead of posting for the entire month, we will start a little countdown to Halloween night starting on October 18th and ending on October 31st! 🎃

As usual, I will be reblogging any works that tag this account and/or use the tag #hgkinktober2024 for each of those thirteen days. I will also be opening up another AO3 collection for y’all to post there, too! I currently don’t have a fandom twitter/X account so I apologize, I won’t be active on that site/app, but if you do post there, please forward me the link and I can create a special post for y’all! I will be creating a Masterlist this year to keep everyone in the loop with new and all works!

Hi!

Sorry we’ve been silent for a month or two, it’s just been pretty intense all round. The event is going on as planned from the 20th to the 26th of November, so we figured now would be the perfect time to clarify what we will and won’t accept in the event and just generally give some clarity about potential questions? If you have a question we didn’t answer here, just pop us a message and we’ll do our best to answer!

So first off, we do not allow extremely sensitive content, for example non-consent, underage or extreme age gaps, or graphic partner abuse. Additionally, this is an event focused on positivity and men’s health, so while heavy content like abuse and trauma are allowed to be discussed, we’d prefer happy endings!

There is no word limit if you are writing a fic, it can be as long or short as you want it to be and you can participate as much as you want, even if you only submit something for one day!

Announcement! Upcoming Event!

Hello Harringrove fandom!!

July is disability pride month, and since Billy and Steve are both canonically disabled characters (Billy has bpd, and Steve has tbi), my amazing friend and I have decided to create a week long event celebrating them! It will run sometime in July, with the date still being decided (we will keep you updated!)

This event will be run by @hargrove-mayfields and @intothedysphoria, EJ and Max respectively, who are both disabled creators in the fandom! Our experiences as such have inspired us to host this event dedicated entirely to raising awareness and support for Steve and Billy’s disabilities!

Any content will be allowed, from art, to edits, to playlists, to fic of any length! There are no limitations except it is preferred that there is no extreme or proship content. 18+ creations will be allowed as long as everything is tagged properly, and the interactions are safe and consensual!

The main rule: The fic must feature Billy and/or Steve. Other ships are allowed. That means this isn’t just a Harringrove event, just a celebration of Billy and Steve in general!

Also, either Billy or Steve must be explicitly disabled regardless of who they are shipped with. This can be any disability, canon or headcanon. A modern definition of disability is any state of being that causes an individual to face social barriers. Including but not limited to: sensorial impairments, learning delays, chronic conditions, certain mental health disorders, and physical differences.

Prompts will be provided soon once interest is gathered so creators can begin working! No sign ups required!

Additionally, depending on the number responses we get here, we might create a discord server for members of the event!

Harringrove for Palestine

Hello to all my lovely Harringrove people out there. I think it's time for another fundraiser. This fandom has always been amazing at doing events to help raise money for good causes; Australia, the Ukraine, Turkey to name but a few. So I wanted to see if we could bring that same love and energy to helping our siblings in Palestine.

Im going to try to build a list of writers, artists etc who are willing to create Harringrove content for donations. If you would like to be included then please DM me with your preferred medium and any specific donation sites you would prefer people send money too.

I myself will be focusing on the gofundmes that have been vetted by gazafunds.com.

I will pin the post with participants and information to my blog once I get the ball rolling.
